Comments
While walking out the flat ridge to No Name Bowl we were traveling towards the top of the bowl and got a large tree shaking collapse, by the time we scrambled to the top where we could see into the bowl we saw that we had triggered a large avalanche and watched the powder cloud hit the aspens at the end of the run out and heard loud cracking and snapping of trees beyond the usual run out. The avalanche took out most of the bowl and wrapped around the eastern corner into the trees. The slide ran on large grain facets at the ground interface and left rocks, bushes and grass sticking out in the bed surface. Pretty hair trigger out there right now.
