Had a great corn ski Sunday, 6/9 off the east facing side of Hayden ridge into Middle Basin. Of interest was a large natural slide observed. I was up here Wednesday, 6/5 and it had not slid. Warm temps Wednesday to Friday apparently woke up the snowpack. Best guess is it may have released sometime Friday, 6/7 as it looked relatively fresh. I wouldn't think it happened any later, as cold temps Friday night through Sunday probably locked things up. A good size cornice calved off initiating it. It stepped down to the ground, was over a football field wide and had a 2-3’ crown. Small car size blocks in the debris at the toe. Very impressive! I included a photo of minor slide activity on the same aspect, lookers right of my turns. Last photo is the west facing side of Hayden, which had older debris from the past week.
