Comments
Saw this avalanche start up in the SE facing, above Hansen’s then running down the E facing, it was started by heating but it was mostly a dry snow slide when it was moving. I had already done a few runs on Hansens but on my last run I knew it was time to go being that the snow was heating up. I was hiking back to Alta when I heard it go, it took out a few of my tracks mid slope but didn’t touch the up track, showing me once again why these routes have been standard for decades.
Photos: the slide, and a video I took of it while it was moving.
