Comments
New snow was well behaved until within 500 feet of ridgeline. At that elevation winds increased dramatically as did slab-nature of new snow. Began to see cracking on approach to ridge. Traversing from chicken shit to benson and hedges, triggered multiple slabs up to 100 feet wide. All were relatively shallow, but entrained snow and traveled >500 feet downslope.
