Snow stability seemed to degrade as we walked up white pine/Scotties ridge this morning. Earlier test slopes did not yield reactivity but snow falling after dawn this morning seemed to create more of a cohesive slab that, when triggered, would sluffing within the new snow on a density inversion. Several test slopes yielded some cracking and sluffs running the length of the slope.
A ski cut into Scotties from Scotties notch pulled out a 2-4 inch deep slab maybe 80ft wide that ran about 250 feet. Down lower in the erosion gullies on Scotties the same density inversion was present yielding small slides into the gullies
