Comments
This large glide avalanche on the Blue Ice appears to have happened late last night or early this morning, the debris looked quite fresh. There was evidence of many other glide avalanches in the same area. The crown looked to be at least 10 feet deep and 250 to 300 feet wide, and the slide ran around 2500 to 3000 feet. The debris contained large chunks of ice, rocks and trees and was up to 40 feet deep in the toe. I also noted some smaller fresh glide avalanches down canyon on my exit that ran while I was up there. P.S I guess it ran Thursday afternoon, according to Powder Birds who saw it on their return from the Sessions.
