Comments
We hiked out the 9990 gate. On the way up we saw no activity. Stomping on steep (35-40 degree) test slopes along the ridge yielded no slides. As we were approaching our decent 15 - 20 minutes of green housing occurred (roughly around 11:45). My partner dropped in and skied to a stand of trees. I followed. The upper part of the run skiied fine, with only minor sluffing. My partner decided to cut across the slope before dropping into the second leg of our decent. A 4" deep 10' wide wet slab released, traveling roughly 250 feet downslope. We descended one at a time on the bed surface of the slide, which was damp to the touch. Sorry I don't have a picture. It was pretty foggy and it wouldn't show up.
