Right out of the gates, the sun softened a piece of cornice which dribbled onto the steep slope below, triggering a fresh wind slab this morning.
 
Meanwhile, on the steep east facing slopes of Bald Mountain, the steep hanging snowfield came to life with a little daytime heating.
