Not sure what triggered the relatively small slide. Could have been noise from our snowmobiles or a small cornice falling. Nobody had ridden up above us where the slide originated. It nearly hit us but stopped sliding right before it got to us.  
 
We were riding between Naomi peak and tony grove lake.
