Snow Profile Comments
One can see the depth hoar at the bottom. DH was 4F- with 1F slab above. 'Profile' dug in terrain with spider-webbed cracks next to actual avalanche.

Had large, propagating collapses and cracking with no releases prior to the cornice drop.
