Comments
We spotted this slide from a ways away and went over to check it out. It was a natural avalanche released within the last few days (Apr. 6th or 7th). It failed about 3.5 to 4 feet below the snow surface and was approx. 150 to 200 feet wide. The slide ran about 450 feet. It looked like it may have been triggered as a secondary slide because there was another smaller crown above a cliff band directly above the crown. We weren't able to go up and take a closer look at the crown because we weren't confident of the stability higher on the slope.
