Comments
2 Snowmobilers were riding the ridge on safe terrain causing this remote triggered avalanche. One rider had dropped down just in time to see the snow settling. The slide broke at the apex of a wind loaded ridge and dropped roughly 600 vertical feet before coming to a stop. From the pictures it appears that the slide stepped down at least one layer of snow. The remaining slopes to the north looked to be ready to release at any time so the group decided against getting any closer to view the crown of the slide.
