Comments
We observed 3 relatively small soft slab avalanches that started in the recent storm/wind slab but then quickly became more of a loose-dry avalanche due to the abundance of faceted snow below. All 3 slide were relatively shallow 6" and about 20-30' wide. 2 of the slides were triggered by a snowmobile high marking on a 35 degree east facing slope. The larges of the slides started in a "repeat offender"- a path that had clearly run before this season, (an old crown was visible).
