Rider triggered avalanche, was caught and carried and able to traverse out.


Similar Time Frame (noted that many people were on similar slopes without triggering avalanches)

  • Lake Chute- north aspect, 11,000'- 2' deep x 200' wide x 350' vertical. Failed at graupel interface. Skier triggered
  • Tuscarora-southeast aspect, 10,000'- 8"-12" deep x 30' wide x 100; vertical. Cornice triggered
  • Thomas Fork- west aspect, 9,500'- 10" deep x 100' wide x 300' vertical
  • Reynolds- east aspect, 9,000' 12" deep x 70' die broke at corner and triggered another avalanche 50'-70' wide
