Comments
I was caught in two separate avalanches today. The first carried me about 10 feet before I was able to grab onto a tree. The second occurred while I was trying to self-extricate from the face where the first slide happened. Both slides were approximately 10" deep, but the second was much larger, spanning 160 feet wide. There is extreme avalanche danger on that face, and I am incredibly lucky to be alive.
