Partner & I walked up Willow to have a look around PC Ridgeline. Noticed a new snow only slide in West Monitor that was initiated by a cornice drop from wind loading. Wet activity played a part as well. Also could see an older slide had gone full track previously under new debris. Timing unknown of that one. The toe showing beyond today's slide in the photo. Other things noted... Noticed a couple of point releases in South Monitor. West winds were blowing hard from about halfway up Willow to the ridge. Not a lot of new snow for transport but PC ridge was loading up. Any snow that was wind protected was warm & wet on all aspects from warm temps and greenhousing. Easy initiating pinwheels and manageable wet slides in wind protected areas. Photos of... Trees plastered with wet snow from west winds. Wind loading on WM Slide in WM Point release in SM One of many pinwheels Easily initiated wet activity
