Snow Profile Comments
The profile is from a nearby lower-angle slope, about 150' vertical below the crown. The hard slab likely failed on facets. Slab chunks were the hardest I've seen from the past storm as most slabs have been soft. This was P to K hard. Classic wind-loaded zone right on the ridgeline. Debris only ran a few hundred vertical.
