Snow Profile Comments
I’ve never seen the slope slide before and was very surprised when I popped out of the trees on my snowmobile and saw that the entire bowl had ripped. There was snowmobile tracks surrounding it that appeared to be from yesterday the 19th and it was unclear if it was a remote trigger or not. The top of the crown was between three and 6 feet at its deepest where it had been wind loaded near the summit. It slid on the persistent week layer, which was almost rock hard when I got down into the slide path to measure some of the blocks.
