Alta to Cardiff Pass: Drive 7.8 miles beyond the electronic signage at the mouth of the canyon, beyond the lower Alta parking lot and park off the road just beyond the Deep Powder House and the Alta Lodge. Ascend the trail between the Our Lady of the Snows and the Alta town offices to gain the summer road beneath Flagstaff. Work west under theToledo avalanche path to follow the power lines to the pass. The route works a mile and 1500’ under and in significant avalanche terrain. Dogs are not allowed in the watershed of LCC.
