East and South facing slopes are definitely taking some heat. See picture of roller balls and wet loose slides in the Monitors.

It is actually the opposite of new snow. As the last storm’s snow melts and subsides we are starting to return to low tide conditions in a number of areas.

Toured up in the Willows area today. Travel was generally easy and there was a wide variety of snow on display. No signs of instability. Many of the classic routes in the area are beginning to resemble resorts with the amount of tracks in them. Some decent wet loose slides happening solar side of the Monitors. Found the tree with the high mark for the 2022-23 HS. We have a long way to go to make up that gap…
