I did notice one small natural avalanche that looks like it may have stepped down into the buried PWL facets near the ground.

There were periods of very heavy snowfall in the Tony Grove Area yesterday, and not too much wind, so snow piled up deeply in the forest and on the trees. Even though it wasn't windy, several large trees fell during the day, overloaded by the heavy load and uprooted from the saturated ground. This group of trees is in the campground, with the outhouse showing the snow depth... All of a sudden, there is well over 5 feet of snow blanketing the area. The sled was covered by several inches by the heavy snowfall while I was away for about 1.5 hrs.
