Ventured out for gear familiarization. Surface hoar of a quarter of an inch to a half inch visible in protected areas. Porter Fork road covered in about an inch of mostly ice and a dusting of snow. Skinned about a half mile, and did a mix of walking and skiing back to the trailhead.
