Comments

Travel today was in the upper reaches of the willow drainage, and of course my first time in there this season. The dense snow went along way to make travel ok, and the low sun angle with broken skies kept the powder decent. The snow is still thin in many locations, and not rideable, but the open meadows greeted me with nice powder conditions and just enough density to float over and through the sage brush. Snow structure was good in this location, and had very little if any old snow. I rode South and SW aspects, and decided not to travel into any avalanche terrain given the current set up.
