Comments
The snow conditions in the Abajos is still very low tide. As of 11/22 we had around 12" in sheltered northerly areas on N Creek Road above 10,000'. Travel off the road is not doable at this point. The rain snow line was quite high during the last few storms and the snowfall amounts were elevation dependent. The first mile of N Creek road is mostly compacted mud with a few snow patches. Snow travel became possible at around 9000' where snow amounts measured around 4". A few downed trees remain on the road, and as of this week the gate is still open for wheeled vehicle travel. We had no results from attempting to trigger test slopes. Some surface hoar had formed on certain areas and will be something to keep an eye on. Some minor cracking around skis on S facing solar aspects on the road.
