Large surface hoar up to 30mm in size was observed anywhere the snow remained shady, with sun causing a subtle melt on all solars.

Cracking and collapsing were observed on a N facing slope at 10,600 (photos included) the attached snow profile was dug right at the site of a collpase.

In contrast to observations from Hwy 35, the Mirror lake corridor has a deeper snowpack, and may not have received any rain during the storm from 20251120. As such, old snow near the ground is still very weak (see attached photo of a facet from layer 0-14cm - still angular). Some localized cracking and collapsing could be observed as a result.
