Weather Comments
Overcast skies broke as the moderate rainfall we experienced on our drive up to the trailhead tapered off to light. Leaving the truck around 16:00, light variable wind returned to calm. The break in clouds allowed for a just-in-time view of the sunset as we gained elevation.
Snow Characteristics
Snow Characteristics Comments

Both the southerly terrain we traveled on up to ridgeline (6940'), as well as the northerly paths on the other side, were completely snow-free. Looking across to the north-facing slopes on the slopes of South Ogden Divide up to about 8000', minimal snow remained once clouds cleared. The rain in the previous hours certainly lowered the amount of highest-elevation snow in northerly aspects in the area—though it didn't eliminate it.

If you squint just right, you can see the small amount of snow remaining on the northerly slopes of S. Ogden Divide.
