A trip up to Bald Mountain Pass yielded a few key findings, the first was the state of the old snow buried yesterday, 20251116. Attached is a photo of a few facets on 2mm grid, these were moist and 4F in hand hardness. This layer was largely interrupted by terrain in snowpits. The second finding was that the wind did form some firm drifts which were observed to be as deep as waist high. The attached hand pit is from near the top of BMP at 10,700 on NE, the measured HS was 32cm. The new snow line was observed to be around 7,300.
