Problem #1 Comments
In my travels today I did not observe any real hazard or issues. I spent the day in some mid to lower elevation terrain and the snow pack felt solid and no weather was adding to the hazard.
Comments
This weeks storm was good to the Uintas with decent snow totals at all elevations and the mid to lower terrain is looking nice and white. It is not always possible to have this kind of coverage for the first of April.
There was really nice cold dry snow on the north facing slopes and the light northeast winds were helping to keep the surface cool.
The cold morning temperatures have kept the surface snow cold on the north side and created some loose dry sluffing. Might be a problem in steep and confined terrain.
