We were trying to get to Grandview and were close when Randy's battery died one ridge away. Fortunately, I brought a battery jump starter that was also dead. We spent the next hour or so trying to start his bike with my track by spinning his track (this didn't work). With no success, we pushed him down the hill and he popped the clutch. Thankfully, that started the bike as we were pretty deep in the backcountry, and I wasn't looking forward to going doubles on a snowbike. Given our limited ability to start a dead bike we decided to head back.
