Snow Characteristics Comments
New snow from Wednesday was mostly graupel. This capped a solid and dirty melt-freeze crust from the insane warmth earlier in the week. We think the strong winds brought in the dust on Monday night and Tuesday.

Comments
Above is the snowpit we did with the class. The temperature profile is quite interesting, especially in the top 40 cms.
We observed some localized collapses and cracking around our skis and snowshoes in the flats.
We observed evidence of two natural avalanches in the area that probably occurred last weekend (Sunday night or early Monday morning).
  1. Across Hwy 89 from Bear Lake Overlook
  2. Sunrise Hill
