Problem #1 Comments
I was surprised to see how reactive a little wind could make the snowpack. The snow surface here seemed very weak and faceted. It only took a little wind, and the snowpack became very touchy. I triggered several small avalanches 3-5 inches deep, one 100 feet wide (see video 1 and pictures 1 and 2).

Problem #2 Comments
The basal facets seem dormant for now. However, there is a new layer in town (see picture 3).
Video
Was very surprised by how connected this was. It's only 5 inches deep, but it was super touchy and made a whisp sound as it broke around me.
