Morning of January 15, we went for a dawn patrol near USA Bowl. Clear skies with a full moon and temperatures in the 10s °F before sunrise. There wasn’t much wind, but we noticed signs of wind buffeting/loading along the ridgeline from the previous days. The snow surface on South facing aspects had a noticeable sun crust, likely from yesterday’s warm-up.
