Weather Comments
While this storm wasn't supposed to be huge for Ogden, it definitely under-produced down low. There was almost no new snow, despite 2-4" in the forcast for this zone. Variable light to moderate winds under moody skies. Summits were in the clouds, so hopefully that meant some accumulation at high elevation.
Snow Characteristics
Snow Characteristics Comments
Snow surface was generally pretty firm and supportable crust. Below this was some combination of crust-sugar sandwiches to the ground. Less HS than I thought would be present, with only about 30cm on solars, and 45cm or so on polars.
Comments
Looking north from the old snowbasin road, with a view of the meager coverage.
