Early moring conditions were slide for life with a firm barley breakable sun crust on top. As the moring progressed surface warmed and became a bit saturated and heavy.

Although we are reaching 100cm of total snow the old faceted snow at the bottom of the snowpack remains suspect.

Overall conditions at 6900' were bleak at best. As temperatures warmed riding conditions improved slightly. The snow pack has two stout rain crusts creating two distinct hard over soft sections of the snowpack. With increased snow loading I would expect these two layers to become more reactive.
