Above 8000' N and E aspects hold about 15 - 20" of snow with W and S aspects holding minimal snow. Faceted loose is the primary coverage on sheltered aspects with a breakable melt freeze crust on south aspects.
In general the snowpack is very shallow and weak, with facets present from the top to the bottom. Once a significant snow load is applied lots of these sheltered aspects that have been harboring this setup will be a no go.
