A lone, short lived gust of wind grazed an otherwise completely still day in the Duchesne Ridge area around the 1300 hour.

The current snowpack structure may not be poor, but all layers continue to weaken and facet. A relatively long crack was observed on a convex, wind loaded, and bushy roll on a NW facing slope at 9500' (see attached photo).

Another high pressure day at the beach provided more than enough time and opportunity to continue to catalog the progression of the faceting of the snowpack. A profile dug on a protected North at 9500' tells the tale. Attached is a photo of a few depth hoar crystals from the layer from 10cm-24cm. Another interesting sight (see attached photo), is evidence of previous NW winds following the departure of the last storm through an exposed burn zone - beautiful.
