Red Flags Comments
As has been reported by everyone traveling in the backcountry, there is widespread Poor Snowpack Structure thourghout the Wasatch. Facets can be found in the lower pack as well as Crust Factet Sandwiches in the mid and upper layers below the latest snow event. Deep/resounding/multiple Collapsing was observed on the upper ridge lines.

Problem #1 Comments
Multiple Loose Dry Avalanches were observed in very steep terrain.
Avalanche Problem #2
Problem
Persistent Weak Layer

Problem #2 Comments
There are obviously widespread Persistent Weak Layers that exist on all aspects except due south at elevations above at least 9000'. And, at the highest elevations, it is likely that Crust Facet Sandwiches exist even on the south aspects. Simple hand shears help identify these layers. The latest round of water and snow did not appear to critically overload the steep slopes traveled; and no Natural Activity was observed besides the previously mentioned Loose Dry. The slab properties of the latest event appeared to lack a significant cohesive quality due to it's light and soft density. It is likely that in the upper elevation wind loaded terrain this Avalanche Problem may be more of an issue. Over the next few days of high pressure as this overlying new slab settles and becomes more cohesive the potential for this Persistent Slab Problem may become more reactive.
