Comments
Localized cracking under skis breaking trail up Patsy Ridge. Very minor. Winds were light to moderate out of the south. S2 at the start of my tour at 0730 and snowfall ended around 0830. 15 to 30cms of right side up snow in wind drifted areas. Cloud ceiling hovering around 11k while I was out. Snow starting to pick back up at the end of my tour at 1030 at a rate of S5.
Not sure if there was enough new snow to tip the scales where I traveled this morning with the localized cracking I saw in the limited new snow. I would expect that the second half of this storm will change that. Will continue to travel cautiously with the current snowpack structure and forecasted SWE totals.
