Comments
The new snow covers a brown dust layer that had melted back to the snow surface at lower and mid-elevations, but the March 1 layer was buried by just under two feet of snow at 8000'. The snow was deep, moist, and very stable, with the weakest being the new snow from the weekend. We found low danger, with even small avalanches unlikely in the areas we traveled.
