Problem #1 Comments
Wet snow on all aspects below 7500 feet by noon. Higher elevation (above 8000ft) sunny aspects were still supportive at 2pm. very variable up where refreeze was solid and not. encountered pretty much everything...bullet proof, dry snow on a firm crust, mank, breakable crust, a bit of nice soft dry snow up high and some grippy corn.
Comments
Traveled up Black Canyon, into upper Willard Basin, North West shoulder of Willard Peak, Down the East /NE Shoulder then East / South East into Cutler Creek and up to Cutler Ridge. Snow was supportive throughout the tour until below 7500 on the way down cutler ridge around 3 pm. Many decent size wet sluffs from the previous afternoon on the South aspect of Black Canyon. Noticed one that seemed fresh around 1030 AM. The forecast seems spot on with changing to moderate as the sun and warmth hits.
