Comments
We went back to the site of last year's fatal avalanche that happened on March 27, 2023. It was a humbling day, and we thought of Brett Warner and his brother the entire time as we approximately retraced his part of his route from that day.
We found a layer of very small facets and surface hoar that was buried in mid to late February (maybe 2/14 or 2/22). Not a concern, but could wake up with a very large load.
