Recent new snow of 3-6" was reactive in our ECT test but nothing in the area showed this instability.

East wind was swirling around in this drainage. The west was blowing west down the canyon but clouds on Pioneer ridge were cranking from the NE.

Comments
Wind had damaged some of our favorite ski slopes so we took to the sleds up Snake Creek. South facing slopes had a stiff crust about 6" down. North facing was better with 12-18" depending on wind loading.
