Comments
I got out today and observed moderate south wind and snow in the morning. Total storm series snow is about 16” and slightly upside down. A few inches of new snow fell this morning, but the big story was all the snow that was blowing around. Cornices are touchy but the sluffs are manageable. Since I documented some surface hoar on the 23rd and we now have a soft slab resting on top, I thought it would be a good idea to check it out. Although my tests failed on the new snow old snow interface layer, where the surface hoar was, there was no propagation.
