Very strong and gusty winds throughout the day transporting tons of new snow from yesterday's storm. Uphill, downhill, across the hill, etc. The wind in exposed upper elevation terrain like the Wellsvilles was pluming very far.

Snow Characteristics Comments
Thickish dust on crust-type conditions at this elevation. Snow was a mix of broken pp and graupel. MF crust just below new snow had varying strengths across aspects. Low angle slopes were better riding than steeper slopes to avoid hitting the crust.

Comments
Chose to stay out of the winds today in low-elevation terrain. Found shallower new snow but still decent riding conditions on low-angle slopes. Snowpack is very moist here and we found a thick layer of dust from pre-storm southerly winds on Thur/Fri.
Main word from all observers was WIND.
