Weather Comments
It was a warm and muggy day until we got up into the wind, which was blowing around 20 mph on the Steam Mill summit ridge... Defuse sun midday through early afternoon, with increasing cloudiness. Seemed like the clouds were trapping the warmth. The thermometer read 50° when we got down to the Franklin Basin Trailhead at 4:00

Snow Characteristics Comments
The heat affected the snow in all aspects, and it was kind of heavy, even in the high norths... Unfortunately, the nice powder from earlier in the week was destroyed and turned into mashed potatoes.
