Weather Comments
Brutal winds bordering on extreme at some times. Difficult to find shelter even in sheltered terrain. Very cold temps and ensuing wind chill made for a "no stop, no eat" kind of day. Moderate snow showers on and off throughout the day.

Snow Characteristics Comments
Snow exposed to the wind was dense and stiff. Snow in more "sheltered" terrain was less affected minus the top inch or two. Lots of graupel from last night and today mixed with PP.

Red Flags Comments
Only observed cracking in the wind zone. Heavy snowfall occurred overnight last night but showers continued today. The winds were impressive - moving tons of snow not just in the actual direction of the wind but everywhere.

Problem #1 Comments
Observed lots of wind drifting but no avalanches as our visibility was extremely poor. Can only imagine that cornices were built out today.
Comments
WAY TOO COLD to dig a pit. Performed a hasty pit in a protected area and found the new snow to be somewhat slabby, but not overly reactive.
