A glorious day with clear skies, hardly any wind, and a low density topper to cap off the midweek storm!

Snow Characteristics Comments
Storm snow has settled out nicely, there's a go-anywhere base, topped of with low density snow. I found surface hoar from tip to tail, even in the alpine, especially on slopes facing the north half of the compass.

Recent Avalanches
Red Flags Comments
The snow structure is suspect, but recent avalanches in steep, wind drifted terrain are the glaring red flag for me
Avalanche Problem #1
Problem
Persistent Weak Layer
Problem #1 Comments
My test results were negative, but I'm not trusting the 2/14 NSF just yet. We've seen avalanches break on this layer earlier in the week, so I consider this layer suspect and guilty until proven otherwise.
