Problem #2 Comments
Winds were strong and steady from the SW all afternoon and large drifts were forming throughout the area. Leeward slopes were already heavily loaded by noon.
Another afternoon of low angle mini golf in Home Run Bowl today. Winds were fierce and even a knee-deep skin track was completely effaced every 35-40 min in exposed areas along the ridge. Visibility was poor but when I could see it was obvious that leeward slopes were being heavily and increasingly loaded, with cornices growing meaner looking all afternoon. Snow on the lee was laid down into a pretty stiff meringue which was fun to slash through if a bit slow on the really low angled sections. Conditions are excellent, but definitely nothing to play with on the bigger, steeper terrain.
