Problem #2 Comments
It seems increasingly unlikely that a person could trigger a dangerous hard slab avalanche failing on a deeply buried PWL made up of faceted snow from December.

Comments
We found nice shallow powder above about 8000' in sheltered low angled terrain. Significantly improved dust-on-crust elsewhere. On steeper slopes we scratched the crust with each turn and the crust was slippery while climbing across slopes or side-hilling.
