Poor Snowpack Structure
Red Flags Comments
Guilty until proven otherwise... snow structure is questionable. But, it feels like the pack is shrink-wrapped and for the moment the slab is stiff and generally unreactive.
Avalanche Problem #1
Problem
Persistent Weak Layer
Problem #1 Comments
Top of my shovel handle represents where the December drought layer is located. I'm finding the slab more stubborn to my stability tests.

Tough to pick out, but a handful of natural slides during last weekends storm cycle on steep west and northwest facing slopes, particularly on the leeward side of steep breakovers in the Upper Chalk Creek zone.
